PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)<\/strong> is a regenerative medicine<\/strong> technique that uses the patient’s own platelets to stimulate tissue repair and regeneration.<\/p>

Plasma is obtained after a simple blood test<\/strong> , then centrifugation in order to concentrate the platelets, rich in growth factors<\/strong> .<\/p>

These biologically active factors promote microcirculation<\/strong> , healing<\/strong> and cell regeneration<\/strong> .
In urology, PRP is currently offered for two main indications:<\/p>

  • Erectile dysfunction<\/strong> , particularly of vascular origin or following surgery
    pelvic.<\/li>
  • Peyronie’s disease<\/strong> , to reduce fibrosis and improve penis elasticity.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    The PRP injection is performed in consultation<\/strong> , under local anesthesia<\/strong> .
    After plasma preparation, small injections are made directly into the corpora cavernosa<\/strong> (in erectile dysfunction) or into the fibrous plaque<\/strong> (in Peyronie’s disease).<\/p>

    The session lasts approximately 30 minutes<\/strong> , without hospitalization, and the patient can resume their activities immediately.

    Unlike drug treatments, it acts on the vascular or post-traumatic cause of the dysfunction.<\/p>

    \ud83d\udca1Clinical studies report an improvement in erections<\/strong> in approximately 60% of treated patients<\/strong> , depending on the protocols used and the initial severity of the disorder.
    \ud83d\udca1 Best responses are seen in patients with mild to moderate vascular-related erectile dysfunction<\/strong> .
    Side effects are rare and mild (slight local tenderness or transient hematoma).<\/p>
